3 down, 9 to go...

I just completed August, and though it feels good to have him finished, I have 29 days left of my personal deadline to start and finish 9 more Kilt Months. It will be tough with my busy schedule of work, teaching karate, and doing karate, but I can get it done. I'm planning at least two all-nighters for this week. Hopefully this means I finish two more months this week. ^_^ Now that the hectic month of October is over, I can buckle down on kilts, as well as my "October" entry for the Enchanted Visions project.

April Completed, on to August...

I have April completely done minus a few touch-ups that I will most likely make. The scanner I used washed out the color in his skin, so I am hoping that mine works out better (or I will just end up taking them to Kinko's). And so, a preview of April:

Last night I began to color August, who will be drawing his bow in a dark forest. Looking up what references I could of such lighting, I gave him shadows with Prismacolor's "Grayed Lavender", this is the unfinished marker layer, which will then have more shading and highlighting in colored pencil. I haven't edited the photo, his tones are much richer in real life:

I aim to complete August by this weekend, I have a few other things due this weekend as well, which might put him off a bit. He should prove to be a quicker color than July or April, however.

July is complete!

I have just finished July in the calendar series. I have April completely sketched and ready to color, and August is about halfway through the sketching process. I aim to have all twelve completed by November 30th!!

And so, here is July...

Calendar plans

I am in the middle of planning out a calendar for 2011 to sell in my Zazzle shop. Theme: Men in Kilts. I figured it's about time I come up with a calendar, especially one with a theme such as this! :) I have the thumbnails sketched out for each month, they will be as follows:

January: Man in kilt riding a horse through a snowstorm.
February: Blacksmith man in kilt.
March: Man standing atop a hill or cliff, with kilt blowing in the wind.
April: Man in kilt lounging by a tree.
May: Man in kilt polishing his shield.
June: Man in kilt buckling his boots with his leg up on a stool. ;)
July: Man bathing in a river, his kilt hangs on a tree branch behind him.
August: Archer man in kilt
September: Back view of a kilted man with his quarterstaff resting upon his shoulders
October: Man in kilt chopping wood.
November: Feasting "Bear" in kilt ;)
December: undecided. Suggestions, anyone? :P I'm wanting it to not be holiday-specific.

Currently, I am working on coloring July. I would love for him to be finished by this evening, lets hope I can meet that goal!
